We invite you to take a step back in time and experience life as it was at an early 19th century frontier Army post.  During our living history days, we recreate the lives of the soldiers and other people.  You can see, hear, feel and smell the times of those long ago days when our forefathers forged their way across the wilderness. 

The Friends of Fort Atkinson have 6 living history weekends per year at Fort Atkinson S.H.P.  The schedule is based on the weekends that hold the first Sunday of the month from May through October.  Other units and living history groups often attend our events.  For more information regarding your unit or group participating in one or more of our events, please contact us in advance.

The Harold W. Andersen Visitor Center is open daily from May 24th through September 1th from 10am to 5pm. Living History Schedule, with interpretation hours from 11am to 5pm, as follows:
